Dr. Braden is the most experienced psychologist in the field of Fragile X that I know. She has seen patients for over 20 years and her behavioral and academic programs have made a wonderful difference for the children she treats.
As executive director of the National Fragile X Foundation, I have had the tremendous pleasure of knowing and working with Marcia Braden since 1999. Marcia is, and has been an active member of our Scientific and Clinical Advisory Committee for many years. It is hard to imagine how the Foundation could have accomplished the parts of its mission related to support and education without Marcia’s input and guidance. Her willingness to share and contribute her tremendous body of knowledge and experience is unequaled. Single-handedly Marcia has made a real difference in the lives of thousands of persons affected by fragile X syndrome while giving them, and their parents, the tools necessary for a successful life comprising family, education, employment and community.
